Victorian Christmas Open House.
The SCHS sponsors a Victorian Christmas open house in December where the community is invited to tour the Van Orden mansion. During the 2001 holiday season, several area businesses were invited to decorate trees coordinated with the themes of different rooms in the mansion. A string quartet entertained guests, and children were invited to participate in crafts creating antique decorations.
