Kitchen
This room was and is presented as the kitchen of the house. The stove, sink, and ice-box in the pantry are all original. The room also retains the original linoleum flooring. Perhaps the most unique feature is the servants call box located in the
north west corner of the room. The Van Orden Mansion was fitted with an electrical servants call system which enabled the family to summon assistance from nearly any point in the house. A unique novelty for the day.
