| Baraboo Baseball Uniform Displayed In Cooperstown The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y., has a baseball, uniform, trophy, some tintypes and a score book from a Baraboo baseball team formed in 1866. The uniform belonged to LeGrand Lippitt, and a member of his family donated it in 1939. According to Mary Bellew of the Hall of Fame, the uniform is the oldest in its collection. It is a bibstyle wool flannel shirt with detachable sleeves and includes a hat, pants and a woven belt with Baraboo BBC embroidered on it. Henry Chadwick, who was listed as a member of the team, kept the score book. Cooperstown calls him the father of baseball score keeping. |
