Naturalization Records
Sauk County Naturalization records can be found on microfilm at the Baraboo Public Library and the State Historical Society of Wisconsin in Madison. These records contain the Declarations of Intent, Petitions and Certificates of Naturalizations for those Sauk County citizens who took part in one or more of the steps to become a US citizen. The records can be very helpful in giving clues to immigrations dates, birthdates, ports of entry and even birthplaces. Earlier records are not as specific as later records but can still be very useful.
